Jeremy Asher

I am a husband and the father of four beautiful children. My boys, Chance and Kyle, are my soccer and basketball players, and my daughters, Gabby and Andee, are the readers and artists in the family. By day I work in the world of business, mainly in Supply Chain. When I’m not working, I enjoy nothing more than hanging out with my family. I help coach the boys’ soccer team and watch the latest movies with the girls. But when the kids are in bed, my wife, Brandi, and I spend our evenings catching up on our shows.
Work and family are not my only passions in life. I started writing short stories in my twenties. I wrote for fun with no dreams of actually becoming an “author” of books. My drive for storytelling began when I was a little kid. It was what my family did when we got together for holidays or reunions, and it has stuck with me.
Insignificant Moments is my first novel. The idea came to me the day I opened a chain email. I don’t remember much about that day, but I remember how good I felt after reading that email. I thought, what if an email from a stranger had the power to impact the lives of many people? Then I tried to think of how that ripple could affect the rest of the world. The idea was too big for a short story, so I shelved it. That was until the day that Brandi told me I should try writing a novel. So I did.
After writing Insignificant Moments, I started receiving emails from people, most of whom I’ve never met, telling me how much they enjoyed the story and wanted to read more. Luckily, I had Across the Creek already in motion. And for the past two years, I have been working on this story. I’ve had a blast writing the lives of Jesse, Sarah, Robbie, and Kevin. And I was so excited the day I was able to finally release it.
My next book is Beneath the Willow, the sequel to Across the Creek. This story brings back many of the characters from the first book and a whole new set of obstacles for them to overcome. But I feel this story brings everything full circle.
As much as I enjoy writing, I wouldn’t have made it this far without the love and support of my family and friends. They are the ones who encourage me every day and inspire me to continue chasing my dream.
